Seattle Pacific Students End Sit-In, Plan Lawsuit

Students at Seattle Pacific University have ended a month-long sit-in at the university, but are vowing to sue the university.

Leaders of the students posted their plans on Instagram. The sit-in and the planned suit are over the university’s policy of discriminating against LGBTQ people in hiring and promotion.

“The board has elected to refuse our demands, meaning we will be moving forward with litigation. This is not a decision that we take lightly, but it is a decision we believe will protect the future of our university,” said the students.
