Remote Learning Diaries: The Evolving Student Experience in Higher Ed

When I stepped onto my college campus for the first time after a year of remote learning, I was excited to put Zoom behind me and get away from my computer.

During my first two months back, I made it my mission to separate myself from the tech that had held me hostage in 2020: I carried no fewer than eight notebooks in my backpack every day, frantically scribbling while my classmates’ hands glided across sleek, black keyboards. I eagerly anticipated office hours with my favorite professor, anxious to talk one on one before discovering that meetings were held exclusively over Google Meet.
