The fight against the overwhelming student debt burden in this country just got more personal, with a campaign to educate debtors about programs that can relieve their individual debt.
Recognizing that it’s been four years since student debt hit the $1 trillion mark, the AFT joined the Center for American Progress, Generation Progress and the White House’s Student Debt Challenge program at an event April 17 to rally D.C.-area nonprofit and government agency employers and urge them to make sure their employees know about the various programs available for debt relief.
